The history of BAM France refers to its origins as a leading manufacturer of high-quality, innovative musical instrument cases. The company, whose name is an acronym for “Boîte-à-musique” (French for “music box”), was founded over 40 years ago by Laurence and Philippe de Trogoff. Katja and Robert Goetz took over BAM in 2011, shifting the brand’s aesthetic to include more colors and fashionable designs, such as the “L’Étoile” line, which takes cues from luxury fashion.
BAM is known for its use of modern, high-performance materials and innovative design, departing from traditional wooden cases. A key innovation is the “BAM Hightech Technique,” a triple-ply structure made of materials like ABS, injected foam core foam, and PETG, which provides outstanding protection and light weight. The injected high-density foam interior provides instrument suspension and protection against thermal shock and impact, with accounts of instruments surviving significant accidents unharmed.
